Based on the idea of our department such that it is necessary to be familiar with both software and hardware for an Information System engineer, we educate students from basis to application using the knowledge of software and hardware. As well as general education of basic knowledge of information system, we also put emphasis on the liberal arts education so that students can enhance their skills of proper judgment and decision making. Our target is to produce expert engineers with high special skills.
To learn hardware and software systematically in 1st-year students, we provide fundamental education program for both hardware and software. The 2nd- year students choose "IT course" or "Electronic Information course" in which we provide particular education program to enhance the specialty of each student. In the "IT course", students learn each field of mathematical principle information, network of information, and intelligence information. In the "Electronic Information course" students learn each field of circuits and communication, material and device, and digital information.
Our target is to provide education in which students can acquire theories and practical skills. Therefore, various classes for experiment and training are available where students use their hands and touch tools directly.
With a system of a small number of students for a faculty, they enhance their skills for analyzing and solving problems in seminar classes and graduation research work. A variety of research topics are available as follows; characteristic analysis of an electric and an electronic circuit, development of a new material and a new device, high-speed large-volume data communication, a computer architecture, VR and 3D- CG, ecology authentication, image processing and artificial intelligence.
Spirited faculties guide students in such various research subjects.
