It is also important to have a good understanding of the working of society and wide knowledge of different cultures and languages. The Department of Informational Society Studies meets both these needs by offering a wide variety of modules. During their first year, students take modules in basic computing and liberal arts, so that they can find their focus and choose from the following three courses at the end of the year.
Through lectures on cultures of different parts of the world?including such aspects as history, religion and language, the students will learn about the diversity of the world, and they will explore how to address cultural issues in seminars.
The students will have an opportunity to learn about visual art, music and multimedia, as well as to acquire computing skills to create computer graphic artworks and computer music. Then they will apply their knowledge and skills to create their own works of art.
The students will learn about the aspects of society closely related to business, such as economy, industry, employment, enterprise management and organizational behavior. They will also acquire ICT skills and gain knowledge about various network systems that connect individuals and organizations.
